H Mario Geysen, PhD Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Geysen is a pioneer in the field of combinatorial chemistry, a discipline often described as the intersection of chemistry, robotics, instrumentation, computer science, and engineering. Author of more than 150 publications and patents, recipient of numerous ACS awards and laureate of the prestigious Kilby International award.
His career has spanned government, industry and academia. Highlights include Project Manager for Australian Aid Project in Surabaya, Indonesia, Chief Scientist and Founder of Mimotopes, Australia, Distinguished Research Scientist leading GSK combinatorial science and University of Virginia Alfred Burger Chair of Medicinal Chemistry.
His entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for science has lead him to found several successful biotechnology firms, such as Mimotopes, SARCO, Chemcodes and FoardGeysen Entreprises.
Dr. Geysen received his M.Sc in Chemical Engineering from University College London, London, UK and received his Ph.D in Microbiology from University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia.
Cyrille Gineste, PhD Chief Science Officer
During his career Dr. Gineste has held multiple scientific leadership positions in academia, biotech and non-profit organizations. Because of his understanding of peptide pharmacology and strong background in peptide chemistry, he has played a key role in several successful projects for which he designed and synthesized peptides and peptidomimetics for targets including GHRH, GLP1, and PTH, as well as many targets in other areas of pharmaceutical research. His work has lead to several patents and commercial outcomes.
Dr. Gineste received his Ph.D in Pharmacy from the School of Pharmacy of Montpellier, Montpellier, France and his Ph.D in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Montpellier I, Montpellier, France.
